SOHC receives bursary from Rural Health Services Research Network

The Save Our Hospital Coalition has been awarded a bursary by the Rural Health Services Resource Network to attend the 2012 Research Conference in Kelowna on October 2nd and 3rd. This year’s theme is Shaping Health Services and Policy through Research. The conference is an opportunity for SOHC to be involved in research occurring in the Interior Health region and its rural communities. SOHC Vice President Ed Staples and Secretary Nienke Klaver will be attending the conference where they will be participating in health care research workshops.

SOHC releases discussion paper

Save Our Hospital Coalition has released a discussion paper in order to get feedback from the community, politicians and professionals about the state of local healthcare and what the long term solutions should be put in place for “Developing an Improved and Sustainable Health Care Model for Princeton, B.C.“.

The paper can be downloaded and distributed freely. Feedback is welcomed.  The Save Our Hospital Coalition board of directors would like to thank Ed Staples for his time and dedication to this project. SOHC sees this as the natural evolution to our struggle for long-term sustainable health care in Princeton.
